  • I have been very busy lately, can't you tell??

For those of you who haven't heard, I got the job that I interviewed for. I will be working there 2 days a week once I get my license. I have passed all the really important board exams (I'm only waiting on my local anesthesia results).

I am working 4 1/2 days a week doing data entry at my other job until I can start at the dental office, then I will cut back to 3 days a week. Hopefully I will be able to find another hygiene job that fits with my current one.

After work and on the weekends, I can usually be found at a baseball or softball field somewhere. My brother's high school season is still going since they won the districts last Saturday and will be playing regionals at Jenison tomorrow. My sister's baseball season is pretty much over, but she is just starting up her travel softball season. I am helping with the pitchers on her softball team. They do weekend tournaments...she actually just left for one today! I wish I could go as well, but who knows if my brother's high school team will ever go this far in the playoffs again...at least while he is in high school (as of yesterday...he is a SENIOR!!!)

I have also been hanging out with Jonny a lot. We have been to a Chicago Cubs game and 2 Detroit Tigers games since we got home from school. Jonny works a lot at the golf course, but we hang out when he isn't working. I wish we would go to the beach more though!

So, that is my summer so far. I hope everyone else is enjoying their time off from school and the warm weather!!!

  • Well I was definately not expecting this...

I HAVE A DENTAL HYGIENE JOB INTERVIEW!!!

I met a new dentist in our church Sunday night and mentioned that I am starting my job search. He said he would be on the lookout for me and mention my name/let me know if he heard anything. He just emailed me today saying that Sunday night, one of his hygienists called him saying that she would like to retire because of health reasons. So, he wants me to call him to schedule an interview!!! The job is only part-time (I would like full-time), but I will take it! Maybe I could find another part-time job if one works into my schedule...maybe my part-time position would eventually turn into a full-time position. It's all in God's hands. This whole situation is amazing...GOD IS SOOO GOOD!

  • Finally, an update that's not being written about stressing for one of my board exams! So far, I am enjoying being free from school. The reality that I am graduating hasn't set in yet. It might on Friday though since I have both my pinning and graduation ceremonies then.

Random side note...the ending of LOST was CRAZY!!!!!!!! Michael just shot and killed 2 of the women on the island...then shot himself. That show gets stranger and stranger every week (unless it is a re-run, like it is at least every-other week).

Tomorrow I am going up to Big Rapids, watching the O.C. with the girls, then spending the night at Hannah's. Friday morning I am attending a breakfast for professional women (I was invited to be the guest of one of my instructors), then I have my pinning and graduation ceremonies at 11am and 3:30pm.

The next time that I update, I will be a college graduate!

    Here are some random pics:

  • It seems like the only time I ever update this thing lately is when it involves a huge board exam!

NERB (my clinical board exam) IS TOMORROW!!!

I'm really not nervous...I'm actually REALLY excited! Honestly, I am not worried about my calculus removal skills (thank you Guyana, South America!). I am worried about my paperwork. I have been reviewing it a lot and I THINK I have it down...I plan to follow the NERB manual to make sure that my paperwork is all in order...so HOPEFULLY it will all go okay. I guess it helps that my most awesome aunt is my boards patient! I am VERY lucky to have her with me to "hold my hand" through it all!

Please be praying for me...especially from 1:30-5:00 in the afternoon! Oh, and guess what? After NERB, I am going home...FOR THE SUMMER...FOREVER!!! I can't believe that I graduate a week from tomorrow!

Anywho...please keep me in your prayers. Hopefully I will remember to update this thing to let you all know how I did!
